Although current laws allow us to stay open for takeaway, we feel that it doesn’t mean we necessarily should.
After seeing the horrifying scenes at hospitals on the news, and reading the pleas from Cornwall’s director of public health that “you absolutely must stay at home - lives depend on it”, we feel that the only responsible thing we can do is to close completely.
This means we will not be open for takeaway on Saturdays as we had planned, and will not open again until the situation says that it is safe to do so.
We are really really sorry if you were hoping for a little pick-me-up on Saturdays, but we are equally sure that you understand that with cases rising in Cornwall as quickly as they are, any non-essential interaction, journey and touchpoint that we can take out of the system, is the right thing to do.
Of course, other businesses may take a different view about how to balance their many competing demands and pressures, and we respect others’ viewpoints - but we feel this is the right thing to do for us.
